This VHS tape contains the videoclip for the track Hall of Bilskirnir, the main song from In Battle first debut MCD.  For those of you who haven't read the review for In Battle, Bloodaxe performs an extreme viking black metal.  The sound is as raw and unpolished as on the MCD.  Just the same thing.  The clip is very pagan.  Very attracted by nature.  A come back to earth or something.  I really appreciated when all these lightning bolts are striking at the same time and follow the agressive composition main ambiance.  Perhaps they used that to remind us they are from Thunder Bay (Canada).  I don't know what the song is about for I never had the opportunity to read some Bloodaxe's lyrics but the least I can say, its talking about viking stuff and I got that viking feeling when I watch Hall of Bilskirnir clip.  Finaly, we can sense the guys has spended some efforts on this but I personally think Bloodaxe deserves some much more extreme video clips.  Ultra violence for next time.  Perhaps.

GRIMNESS' LAIR (Canada)

Bloodaxe - These guys named themselves "Bloodaxe", so according to Punk Rock Ordinance #105-26 they are required to be loud with vocals that sound like the singer is gurgling blood. I have no fucking clue what this song's about, but the video has some wicked forest, cloud, and lightening shots.
