"The coward believes he will live forever
if he holds back in the battle,
but in old age he shall have no peace
though spears have spared his limbs."

Nordavinden has been "away" for a while, but has returned!!! The recording of "For Those Who Hunt The Wounded Down "had been delayed for quit sometime. No more time has been spent on this album than any other. New Skin Pounder Tanner has fit in well and has added a huge element to the sound track of the North Wind. Only vokills and a few other added touches need to be added. It will be completed when it's done.

Bloodaxe takes no responsibility for the attempted church burnings in Thunder Bay. Although implicated as the driving force and major influence in this act, as well as being questioned by lawyers in regards to this case, Bloodaxe does not condone this behaviour. Had he been successful... then of course we would be proud!!! As the insert on Bloodthrone states... "The burning of churches is no longer accepted... EXPLOSIVES are the future"... Pay attention next time and get it right!!

"Return to the Throne" is the first track completed. Lyrics can be found HERE. An mp3 will be up on this site soon and this track will also appear on numerous compilations before "For Those Who Hunt The Wounded" is officially released.

New interview with Bylec-Tum Underground zine from Italy will be posted in the review section soon as well.

The underground video for Hall of Bilskirnir (title track from the In Battle demo was taped in July 2000 and distributed throughout the underground.  Still available, but only on North American format.

The Bloodaxe demo In Battle was released on June 8th 2000.  Hand numbered to a limited edition of 793.  Originally recorded on 4-track, an offer was accepted to have the recording done at a local studio.  The end result was a terrible production, incompetent engineer, and a complete waste of fucking time.  This demo will not be re-recorded.  Mp3's from this album can be heard here.

Bloodaxe was formed on May 17th, 2000 by Norwegian-Canadian Nordavinden, originally from Geraldton, Ontario (guitar, bass, vocals) and Rati (drums).  Located in Thunder Bay, Northern Ontario (*murder capital, most violent city in Canada, and home to the Big Red Machine).  Bloodaxe rose from the ashes of the members previous experimentation of terrorism Black Chapel.  Never intended to be a two piece, it quickly became just that.  A bass player may be added for possible live shows, but no touring outside of Canada is possible for the next two years.  Pardons must be obtained for working visas.
